Greek for Grace or Undeserved Gifts. We all have them, learning to recognize them before it's too late, that's another story. Hopefully through this blog we can share what we have been graced with and share our stories about our "undeserved gifts."

They're Not Weeds!!!

For a while we have been letting some "greenery" grow on our left over mound of dirt in the backyard. We were sure they were just weeds! So they grew about 8 feet tall in some areas. It provided nice coverage so we just let them be. Well, they're not just weeds! In the last week or so they have bloomed into Sunflowers! We are just amazed. They are just beautiful! Just proves the old saying...you can't judge a book by it's cover! Hope you enjoy them as much as we do!

A Green Thumb? We Hope So!!!!

Yesterday Todd and Billy built the garden box and today Kailee wanted to help Daddy plant the vegetables! She had a great time planting and watering them! In other news, my friend Bethany is in labor! They expect their new addition sometime late tonight! We are so excited for the first of several new additions to the families in our circle of friends!

What a Whirlwind!

The last few weeks have just been a whirlwind of activity for all of us! Mother's Day weekend was super duper busy as we had two extra kiddos with us that weekend! Two of my little daycare guys spent the weekend with us. We've also been busy with birthday parties, baseball, softball, bible study and trying to find time to take a break! Whew! This weekend was also action packed although a little more relaxing. Todd and I were able to get out and have a date night and we went out to dinner and Saturday we went to a friends baby shower without the kiddos. So we finally got our breather. Sunday we went to church then came home and spent most of the afternoon outside and in the pool.
I learned something really interesting on Sunday though. That "The Serenity Prayer" is often misquoted and not usually published in it's entirety. It was actually a prayer from a preachers sermon and not published anonymously as it is often labeled. Anyway, reading it in its entirety gives it new meaning. So I have included it below.
We are into our last two months before our due date and the preggo waddle has begun. Actually we are due exactly two months from tomorrow! My friend Bethany (who's shower was on Saturday) is due any day now! So exciting to have all these babies coming. For those who don't know one of my friends is due the day after me and another is due the same day. Ya! Something was going around in October!
Hope you are all happy and well!

The Serenity Prayer

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; the courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time, enjoying one moment at a time; accepting hardship as a pathway to peace; taking, as Jesus did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; trusting that You will make all things right if I surrender to Your will so the I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with You forever in the next. Amen.

Onini's Wipes and Dipes Pouches!

Okay-so I have started making these Diaper and Wipes Pouches to sell! The idea came about when after finally learning how to use my sewing machine again; I decided to try and make one since I have a friend who bought a "Diapees and Wipees" brand one for $24.99!
Anyway, I have several listed on Ebay and I am advertising on Craigslist too. I'm hoping that through word of mouth things will pick up!
Here are some pics of pouches and some other materials that they come in!
Oh and if you're wondering why Onini's? That's what my little man Tyler calls me!
